Online encoding and decoding tools

Base64 encoding and decoding

Encode text as Base64 or decode it back to text. Supports UTF-8, including non-Latin characters. Useful for data transfer, image data URIs and API parameters.

URL encoding / decoding

Percent-encode special characters, non-ASCII text and spaces in URLs, or decode them. Useful for query parameters and handling links.

Encoding converts non-ASCII and special characters to hexadecimal sequences beginning with %. Decoding reverses this. Encode a parameter before inserting it into a URL.

HTML escaping / unescaping

Convert special characters such as < > & " to HTML entities, or restore the original symbols. Useful for displaying text without interpreting it as HTML.

Calculate an MD5 hash

Calculate a 32-character hexadecimal MD5 digest of text to compare content or create short identifiers. MD5 is unsuitable for password storage or security-sensitive integrity checks.

MD5 is a one-way digest. The result here uses 32 lowercase hexadecimal characters.

AES encryption / decryption

Protect text with AES symmetric encryption and a custom passphrase (16 or more characters recommended). Output is Base64; decryption requires the same passphrase. All processing stays in your browser.

Use at least 16 random characters. Decryption requires exactly the same passphrase.

AES-256 in the OpenSSL format, with a random salt and key derivation. Compatible tools must use the same derivation method and settings. This format does not authenticate ciphertext and cannot detect every modification. Output is Base64.
