First check whether the recipient needs an image or a PDF
File size, format and pixel dimensions are separate requirements. Reaching 200 KB does not ensure the correct format or dimensions. Renaming .png to .jpg does not change the image encoding.
| Requirement | Tool to use | Check before downloading |
| A platform requires JPG, 200 KB and specific dimensions | Image compression → Upload requirements check | Check the actual format, bytes and pixel dimensions. Choose the KB definition stated by the receiving platform. |
| Combine scanned photos into a document | Images to PDF | Check image order, orientation and complete edges. Text in photos does not automatically become searchable. |
| Arrange screenshots in one image | Image stitching | Adjust position, scale and layers on a freeform canvas. Check overlaps, gaps and content outside the canvas. |
Example: a photo under 200 KB is still rejected
- Record all platform requirements: allowed formats, maximum size, exact dimensions, aspect ratio and background requirements.
- Use the Upload requirements check to read the file. Blank conditions are marked as needing confirmation, rather than automatically passing.
- If only the size is too large, try compression. If dimensions are wrong, adjust and recheck them without stretching faces or documents.
- Zoom in to check text and facial details before submitting. This site checks file properties, not people, backgrounds or business review requirements.
How do quality, dimensions and format affect the result?
Reducing pixel dimensions removes detail. Lowering JPEG quality can introduce blur and blocks. PNG size may not follow the quality slider; converting to JPEG removes transparency. Recheck the downloaded result instead of relying only on settings.
