Choose a conversion based on what you need to keep

Decide whether you need sound, video or both. Format conversion creates a compatible output; it does not automatically repair distortion, remove noise or restore source detail.

Which quality setting should I choose?

MP3/AAC/M4A target 96, 192 or 320 kbps; Opus targets 96, 192 or 256 kbps; OGG uses quality 3, 6 or 9 with a bitrate that varies by content. WAV/FLAC do not use lossy presets. Higher settings cannot recover lost detail and may produce larger files.

Video presets depend on the encoder. H.264 in MP4/MOV/MKV and VP9 in WebM use CRF 35/23/18; AVI/FLV use quantizer values 12/5/2. Lower values usually mean higher quality and larger files. Results vary by codec and source. High quality does not increase source resolution, and conversion does not guarantee a smaller file.

Example: keep only the sound from a meeting video

Play the original and confirm it contains the audio you need.
Open audio extraction and try MP3 with medium quality first.
Follow the task status after submitting. Download the completed result and listen to the beginning, middle and end.
If audio is missing or the wrong track is selected, check the source. This tool does not offer manual selection among multiple audio tracks; use software with that capability if needed.

What should I check if conversion fails?

Confirm that the source plays correctly. Check supported input and output formats, file size and the daily allowance shown on the page. Keep the error message and task ID. Report the format, size and settings without publishing private media.

Can I find results after refreshing?

The task list is stored in the current browser, but local records do not mean result files are kept forever. Clearing browser data, switching devices or server cleanup can make old downloads unavailable. Save completed results promptly.

Where are files processed?

Audio and video are uploaded to the server. Source and result files are deleted under the expiry rules. Do not upload media that may not be transferred externally. See the Privacy Policy.
