Worked example
100°C equals 212°F and 373.15K; 32°F equals 0°C.
Understanding settings and results
- Celsius/Fahrenheit conversion includes an offset and cannot use multiplication alone.
- Kelvin is an absolute temperature scale; 0K is absolute zero.
Scope and limitations
- Values below 0K do not have the usual physical meaning.
- Medical and laboratory applications require calibrated instruments. A conversion page does not replace measurement.
Troubleshooting
- A difference of 32 often means Fahrenheit was treated as a simple ratio.
- Enter only the numeric part of a value containing the ° symbol.
