Worked example
Add cover.pdf, body.pdf and attachments.pdf, then drag them into the required order. The default page count is the sum of the inputs. In smart pairing, the earlier page is above the later one; check the export.
Understanding settings and results
- At least two PDFs are required. Select several and drag to reorder.
- PDF is convenient for direct delivery; ZIP can be useful for browser downloads or email.
Scope and limitations
- Smart pairing reduces content size and does not retain annotations, forms or clickable links from paired pages. Use original-layout merging when page layout must be preserved.
- Merging regenerates the file and may invalidate digital signatures. Keep signed originals and check bookmarks, attachments and interactive content.
Troubleshooting
- Drag files into order before running; do not rely on filename sorting.
- If some text is missing, save that source again in a standard PDF reader before merging.
Privacy and processing
All source PDFs are uploaded for server processing and enter the automatic cleanup process after completion. They are not used for training or public display.
