Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Finl Tools handles data during local processing, server-side file processing and OCR, including retention and third-party services.

1. Information we collect

Most tools can be used without registration or login. Information handled by the site mainly includes:

  • Files you choose to upload: uploaded only for tools that need server processing, such as images to PDF, PDF operations and media conversion.
  • Basic access logs: IP address, browser type, access time and requested pages, used for site security and operational analysis. We do not associate these records with your real-world identity.

2. How we process files

Processing location varies by tool. Check the relevant category before uploading:

  • Local browser processing: image compression and stitching, QR generation and decoding, JSON, codecs, passwords, unit conversion, text comparison and Markdown editing run in browser scripts. Inputs are not uploaded to this site as tool requests.
  • Server processing: images to PDF, PDF operations and media conversion require uploads. Source files may be deleted when a task ends. Remaining uploads become eligible for cleanup after 30 minutes since their last modification. Outputs are deleted during later request cleanup (30-minute threshold) or scheduled cleanup (60-minute threshold). Scheduled cleanup runs about every 10 minutes, so deletion is not exact to the minute. Download promptly; this site does not provide long-term file storage.
  • OCR exception: PDF OCR renders pages as images and sends them to the configured third-party OCR service for recognition. Do not enable OCR for files that must not be processed by a third party.
  • Purpose: files are used to perform the conversion or editing task you request, not for public display, advertising profiles or model training.
  • Transport encryption: when you access the site over HTTPS, uploads and downloads are encrypted in transit. Check the connection indicator before transferring files.

3. Cookies and local storage

  • Browser local storage remembers preferences such as navigation and tool-tab ordering. Media task history may also be stored in the current browser. You can remove this data through browser settings.
  • This English edition does not enable third-party analytics by default. Some browser libraries load from external content delivery networks, which receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser headers.

4. Advertising and third-party services

The home page and tool category pages load Google AdSense. Your browser sends request information to Google, including your IP address, browser information and the page address. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies to select ads based on earlier visits to this site or other websites.

5. Information security

We use measures such as temporary-file expiry and server access controls to reduce risk. HTTPS encrypts transfers when used. No system offers absolute security; avoid uploading material whose requirements are incompatible with the processing described here.

6. Children

This site is intended for the general public. Children under 14 should use the service with guidance from a parent or guardian.

7. Policy updates

We may update this policy as features or applicable requirements change. Updates will be published here with a revised date. Continued use is subject to the current policy.

8. Contact us

For questions about this policy, cleanup or third-party processing, use the Contact and feedback page. Do not include unsanitized sensitive files in ordinary feedback.
