Clear, front-facing QR codes with all four corners visible are easiest to read.

Scope and limitations

Does not recognize barcodes, ordinary text or heavily obscured QR codes.

Troubleshooting

Crop unrelated backgrounds, improve contrast and take a new screenshot if recognition fails.
Enlarge very small codes if necessary, but avoid filters that blur edges.
