Worked example
Enter 1-3,4-6,7 for three PDFs: pages 1–3, pages 4–6 and page 7. “One file per page” quickly creates ranges 1,2,3… .
Understanding settings and results
- Each comma-separated segment produces one output file.
- Ranges must increase and stay within the document. Multiple outputs automatically use ZIP.
Scope and limitations
- Splits whole pages; it does not cut a page into top and bottom halves.
- Ranges must increase without overlap. Only specified ranges are exported; omitted pages are not added. For example, 3-4,6 exports only pages 3–4 and page 6.
Troubleshooting
- For a range error, use standard commas and the format 1-3,4-6.
- A single output usually means only one range was entered. Use “One file per page” for separate pages.
Privacy and processing
A server-side PDF library splits the file. Sources may be deleted when a task finishes; leftover uploads become eligible for cleanup after 30 minutes, and outputs after about 30–60 minutes. Save promptly.
