To correct a contract date, load the text blocks, select the date, enter a replacement and save. If the page is one scanned image, run OCR and verify the recognized text before editing.
Understanding settings and results
- Ordinary PDFs expose text blocks directly; scans require OCR.
- Font, size and color are matched where possible, but changes in text length can affect layout.
Scope and limitations
- Accurate reconstruction of complex tables, decorative lettering, vertical text or handwriting is not guaranteed.
- OCR must be manually reviewed before use in important legal or financial documents.
Troubleshooting
- Text that cannot be selected may be a scan or vector outlines; try OCR.
- Boxes in place of Chinese characters may indicate a missing font. Shorten the text or retry with common characters.
Privacy and processing
PDFs are uploaded to the server. OCR also sends page images to the configured third-party OCR service. Confirm this processing is permitted before uploading.
